People have been happily cooking and baking during the Covid-19 lockdown, I also tried an age old snack - Kodubale a traditional snack from Karnataka. It is a spicy, crispy snack dish that can be done as your monsoon snack
Ingredients:

2
Cups of Rice flour
·
3/4
cup of desiccated coconut
·
2
cups of Fried gram(Putani)
·
10
nos of byadgi chilli
·
10
nos of Guntur chilli
* Both byadgi and Guntur chilies depending on how spicy you want it!

·
Pinch
of hing
·
Salt
to taste
·
Choice
of Oil for deep frying, We use sunflower oil.
Method:-
·
Add
fried gram, chilies, coconut. and salt to a mixer jar and make fine paste of
it.
·
Take
a large bowl and mix the paste with rice flour and knead to make smooth firm
dough.
·
Add
just a small quantity water only if required to make the dough.
·
Divide
and shape the dough into small sized balls.
·
Using
the palm of your hands rub and roll to make a half inch thick and yet thin long
roll.
·
Cut
the roll in small strips and join the ends to form a circle.
·
Prepare
the oil for deep frying; drop the circles one by one slowly so that it does not
break and deep fry on medium heat until it is browned and cooked.
·
Keep
the heat on low to medium to it get cooked from the inside as well
·
Store
it in air tight container and enjoy it during evening snacks with coffee or
tea!
